Dedication
Dedicated to the forward thinking Eastern Stars and Freemasons of Indiana who visualized the need, fulfilling it so generously, for a protective and instructive Home for widows, orphans and needy dependents of their membership. We, the children at the Home, learned early and well the principals of living, the necessity of pride in a job well done...and we gained in sharing, companionship and true friendship. Our memories are bittersweet and warm.
The above was taken from the book, Bittersweet, written by Betty Kaufman Stover who entered the Home in 1929 and graduated in 1940. In later years, she very selflessly and tirelessly compiled many representative stories of our life at the home.
